I began working on these lyrics in 2010 and began writing the music in 2001. the musical idea was resurrected in 2008 but I never made a full song out of it during that time period. I wrote the lyrics originally to go with the musical idea that later became The Sacrifice. in early 2026 I found an old recording of the music and found an old version of The Sacrifice with these lyrics and decided to try putting the two together as the source material for the AI covers and I'm pretty happy with what came of it.
